Wedding 4th July 2009 near Blairgowre, Perthshire
A 15m x 40m marquee adjoined with a 9m x 21m marquee was used for a wedding reception to accommodate 220 guests.
The 15m structure was used for dining and dancing, with 15m x 25m of the marquee being used for dining and 15m x 15m being used for dancing. The dining area was lined and lit in a Moroccan style, and coffee-coloured carpet was laid over the steel sub-structure wooden flooring. The dance area had polished wooden flooring and was lined in black-out starlight roof and black walls. Disco lighting was attached to truss bars in this area to complete the effect.
The 9m structure was used as a reception area, and was adjoined to the main 15m marquee. This was also lined and lit in a Moroccan theme. To create a 3m wide wooden decking area along 3 sides of the marquee, 12m wide flooring was laid and a 9m wide marquee was erected on top of it. This decking area overlooked the river and had to be built up to make it level with the rest of the marquee. We then put a handrail around the decking area for safety reasons.
A 9m x 12m catering area with non-slip flooring and lighting was attached, and an area to house the luxury trailer toilets, floored, and lined in pleated ivory was also adjoined to the marquee.
Access to the site was not straight forward, as the only bridge over to the site had a 5 tonne weight restriction. All our heavier vehicles had to pass over a ford.
Wedding Reception at Ballathie House Hotel, Perthshire – 2nd May 2009
A 9m x 27m marquee was used to accommodate 100 guests for a wedding reception taking place at Ballathie House Hotel. The marquee was adjoined to the hotel by a 6m walkway. Inside, 9m x 18m of the marquee was lined in pleated ivory with an ivory valance, (for use as the dining area) and this was lit with chandeliers and up-lighters. The remaining 9m x 9m area (used for dancing) was lined in black-out starlight roof and black walls, and was lit with specialised lighting to create a disco effect. The dance area was hidden behind an ivory curtain during the meal, and just before the dancing, the curtain was removed to reveal the dance area.
The entire marquee was floored with polished wooden flooring, set in our steel sub-structure framework.
A 6m x 6m bar marquee, floored, lined and lit, was also supplied, as was a 6m x 6m catering marquee which was adjoined to the main structure.
Wedding Reception at Meigle, Perthshire – September 2008
A 15m x 35m marquee with polished wooden flooring throughout, was used for a wedding reception to accommodate 250 guests. It was lined out in pleated ivory and finished with an ivory valance. Chandelier lighting was supplied in the dining area and disco lighting in the dancing/bar area. Panoramic window walling and double entrance doors with a high-peak entrance porch were also provided.
A 5m x 5m high peaked marquee was provided as a covered area for a steel band who played to the guests as they enjoyed pre-dinner drinks on the lawn.
A catering area of 5m x 15m was adjoined to the main structure, as was a marquee to accommodate the luxury trailer toilets, meaning that everything was undercover.

A 15m x 40m marquee was used in conjunction with a 12m x 36m marquee to create an unusual but stunning marquee formation for a wedding reception. Dining and dancing took place in the 15m marquee which was lined out in pleated ivory linings with an ivory valance and floored in violet carpet. The adjoining 12m structure was used as a drinks area and was lined out in black-out starlight roof with black-out walls. A black carpet was fitted in this area to complete the theme. Specialist truss lighting was supplied in both the dining/dancing area and the drinks area to spectacular effect.
Two separate marquees with polished wooden flooring and pleated ivory linings were supplied to house the stand-alone luxury toilet facilities. These marquees were linked directly to the main structures so that there was no need to go outside the marquee at all. The marquee structures also accommodated a separate cloakroom area and a large kitchen/catering zone.
A 12m x 18m roof canopy was supplied for the drinks reception which was hosted on the lawn.
Wedding reception at Foss, Perthshire – May 2007
A 12m x 30m marquee was adjoined with a 9m x 12m structure to create an ‘L’-shaped marquee for a wedding reception accommodating 200 guests. Windows were put along the whole length of the marquee to get the full benefit of the stunning views over the loch.
The luxury toilets we supplied were incorporated within a separate marquee which was adjoined to the main structure, as was the catering marquee.
Our specialist lighting supplier created impressive affects both inside and outside the marquee.
Private Party in Largs January 2007
A 9m x 27m marquee
was erected for
a 60th birthday
party to accommodate
120 guests. The
entire marquee was
roof-lined in blackout
starlight lining,
and wall-lined in
pleated ivory. Truss

In January the
weather is chilly
and so we made sure

Private Party
at Kelty - June
2006
This was a private
function held for
250 guests. Due
to restrictions
at the site, we
joined 3 marquees
together. The area
within the structure
used for dining
was carpeted in
new contract carpet,
and the area used
for the drinks reception
and later the dance
was left as polished
wooden flooring.
The inside of the
marquee was finished
in pleated ivory
linings with an
ivory valance.
Our specialist
lighting supplier
created stunning
affects both inside
and outside the
marquee.
The access into
the site was not
particularly good
and we had to build
a termporary bridge
over the burn in
the garden to get
the equipment into
the site.

Truss lighting with
coloured moving

were erected in
this area. The remainder
of the marquee (12m

an ivory valance.
A further 9m x

Once the marquee
